So we snuck back home on Tuesday night, a day earlier than planned which was pretty nice. Mitchell did really well with his chemo and even managed to fit in some shopping and a trip to Gold Coast. His blood counts have all dropped now so he is feeling pretty ordinary and has had a low grade fever on and off but we are still managing ok at home which Mitchell is very happy about! He was super excited to catch up with his friends this morning for a very special trip to the Gold Room to watch Box Trolls. Usually reserved for 18+, Mitchell and 29 friends (and Dylan and Chelsea of course) were allowed to watch the movie in absolute comfort for the once off exclusive event and they all had a great time! Big thanks to Gladstone Cinemas for allowing us to do this! Back to local hospital tomorrow for blood and platelet transfusions and trying very hard to stay out of hospital over the long weekend!
