So we spent most of the day skirting the Golden Crescent. Smells - TopicsExpress

So we spent most of the day skirting the Golden Crescent. Smells of fresh cider..and gargantuan Hydrangea saturating the breeze! Even the deer appreciated the twist of Autumn air. Turning the corner at high noon, I was greeted by an inquisitive yearling that almost leaned in the window! Thought it was yard art! What a beauty. Then we played in the spray from Lake Ontario. Windy. And stunning.Trees tinged Amber..rusting into fiery crimson . Met an old Willow on the lakeside. . Sure its the trunk of what Wizards tales are woven. Gnarled and knotty..its smooth leathered bark was contorted as if to avoid every winter of the last century! And all the while providing safe haven for starlings on every graceful, reedy branch. A place to make memories...and to kiss long. We did both...:) Payed a visit to our namesake Adams N.Y..because lord knows I need another H.D. shirt..lol. Did see a 2015 Road King in my new favorite color Black Magic... Mmmmm!!! Hubby whisked me out of there in record time...he he. We traveled on to our Mom and Pop on the Lakeside. Built long ago...the old wooden floor creaks and moans under my Florida feet. Retro bathrooms...too cute. The Innkeeper has been delightful. And I almost have her convinced to come down for a dip with a manatee. Though....she did seem to really crack up when I remarked the River can be a bit chilly...lol! Took me a few to get why she was amused...as she was pointing at the snow plow blade parked by the weathered gray barn. We were going to grill for dinner...as the Salmon are running. We decided on fresh blueberry buckle..hot spiced tea..and our fuzzy jammies. As I type this...my man is plotting our run through the Adirondacks this weekend. Yup....Its been a perfect day. I love my life .xox
