So we spent the entire day cleaning and drying all the stuff that got wet by #RubyPh. Theres still no electric power but thank goodness water supply was never cut! WOOT! Pero lain kaau ang LEYTE V ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE, INC. (LEYECO V) because last year we were supposed to have power early on since our line is connected via San Nicolas Street to Real Street (highway) transformer but they didnt restore us then for they thought we belonged to the Rizal connection. I was informed that some linemen came today and naa silay gidughit sa poste, as per the people who saw them, and now WE DONT HAVE POWER while some of our neighbors already have theirs restored. Ugh! Kamo ha! Additionally, there is also no signal from Smart Communications, Inc. here in the house until now (whereas theres signal anywhere else in the city! WHAT GIVES?) which further explains my social media absence. Good to know that Globe Telecom has restored their lines so Im now back on Broadband DSL. (y) All these minor inconveniences are making me rant because I have #firstworldproblems hehehe but dont use that against me, ok? You know, #justsayin. We survived Yolanda sans water, electricity, and minimal food until help came along so Im just going to charge all these to experience and jot it down on my journals for my grandkids to read someday. Believe me when I say, I can adjust. I wasnt born with a silver spoon on a my mouth. Duh! There are so many things to be thankful for and during the Feast of the Immaculate Concepcion today I made sure to give thanks for the gift of life and more than enough basic needs. So what if theres no LTE and only 800 watts of power supply to spare for 5 hours a day? Ruby might have given us another emotional, physical, and spiritual rollercoaster ride, but we are fiercer and our will to live is stronger than ever. Nothing can break us down, not even this new threat of a brewing storm in the Pacific. We will be prepared and we will win again!
