So we take off to to the Valley around 10 am today . Went to the church in San Juan made it to the 1 pm mass . Place was standing room only . I had heard of a place thats suppose to serve some real good cabrito in McAllen so I looked it up on that map that comes on my phone . It looks simple enough on the map so we head in that general direction . It took awhile and then I drove right by the place but we finally found it . I find a real nice parking spot and we get off the car first thing I see is Adan Cuate Cavazos and his wife Alicia leaving the place . For those of you that dont know Adan and Alicia live three houses down the street from us . He takes one look at me and says to his wife its Elias Small world we live in . Anyway we get seated order our food and the guy brings out some kick ass cabrito and beans we even had a second helping of corn tortillas . As we are about to finish some mariachis show up and start off by playing La Marcha De Zacatecas . Hey my mom was from Zacatecas . My wife runs to the ladies room and one of the mariachis comes over and asks me Can we play a song for you ? Im stunned he looks at me and says How about El Rey? I snap out off my stupor and respond La Bikina thats my favorite song but wait till Mom comes back . She finally returns to the table and is surprised the whole group is surrounding our table the guys really do a good great version of the song Im smiling from ear to ear they even sang the lyrics! The guy says you want us to play another one I told the man nothing could top that you guys are awesome I tipped the guy 40 bucks and thanked them from the bottom of my heart . Needless to say it was a good trip .
