So we watched Heaven is For Real at the theaters yesterday. I read the book a year before and I received so much revelation from that. Recently, I read this quote from 9gag: God loves you so much that He created Hell just incase you wont love Him back. Whether this is meant for entertainment purposes, this statement is completely false. God created Hell for the devil and his fallen ones - angels who have turned their backs on God (demons). What God has created for man was earth in its perfect state - but we messed it up when we gave the earth to the devil. Satan doesnt rule hell. He is IN hell and is bringing hell on earth - because we gave him the power to do so when we obeyed him instead of God. (Genesis 3) Gods creation were made perfectly - but only God is perfect. Therefore, angels also have free will. Lucifer, meaning, light bearer or the shining one was the most beautiful and most powerful angel in heaven. But he became proud because of his beauty and wisdom. So he deceived 1/3 of the heavenlies to follow him in order to go against God (Ezekiel 28:12-19). So now, Satan lost all of his power and authority in heaven for he was no longer with God. Since MAN was created in the image and likeness of God, and since the devil cannot go against God, he attacked humanity instead and gained power and dominion by taking our rights as Gods children. So our perfect world (no lack, no poverty, no sickness, no death) was now tainted because of sin (disobedience to God). God did not allow all the murder, sickness, poverty, destruction to hover over the earth, WE allowed it. It was our choice. If God wanted it, then He wouldve had created the world imperfectly in the first place - but since He gave us dominion over the earth, we messed it up. Man were created to reign and to live forever. God never intended DEATH. But our sin (Our disobedience) led to death. (Romans 6:23) So in order to fix our mess, He sent His son to pay the price which we cannot pay. He who had no sin became sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 corinthians 5:21) So we are MADE righteous and holy and sinless - not because of what we do, but because of what JESUS has done. He died - that we may live forever. So anyone who is in Christ is already forgiven - past, present and future. Theres more to the cross but to make this post shorter, anyone who is IN Christ and believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. (John 3:16) Its that simple. I rest my case.
