So we went to field dress a deer today and I was explaning to Mike Chase (my son) how to do it. I said well u start by cutting out the butthole. He asked me how u cut it out. I replied u gotta stick your thumb in the deers butt and hold it while u cut around it. Really he replies man thats disgusting. You mean u dont have one of those butt puller things. I reply nope u gotta use ur thumb. Several times he attempted to put his thumb in and stopped just short of it going in. He kept saying man i dont know if i can do this, its so like weird Finally he almost had it in an was going in for sure and i stoped him (mostly because i couldnt stop laughing). I handed him the butt out tool and told him that u really dont stick ur thumb in the butt and that he was a sicko for trying it. Thanks James Finch for the idea. Ps I did show him the right way to do it.
