So we were talking in biology briefly about enthalpy and entropy. - TopicsExpress

So we were talking in biology briefly about enthalpy and entropy. enthalpy is the total of free energy usable for work or change and entropy is the energy lost or wasted with any work or change and with every transformation of energy a certain percentage of energy is wasted. energy cannot be crated or destroyed its just transformed into something that cant be used anymore and my teacher was saying that enthalpy began with the big bang and eventually all energy would become entropy. This made me think of hindu vandanta philosophy and krishna dancing a dance of fire consuming the universe leaving thing in total peace when he had used everything up, I dont know a bunch about this story so forgive me if its not spot on but like this kind of flies in the face of an infinite universe. some thing the universe infinitely expands and contracts like this others think it expands in steps. like they say before the big bang the universe was the size of a marble but if all in space is relative that marble contained a microscopic infinity. so like our total entropy could be another universes pre big bang marble. does this thought relate to zen at all or do you guys have any thoughts?
