So were talking Dawes over at the no jacket or secret handshake required fan forum and the Big Ol Ugly Yellow Couch performance pops up and it jars this heartworn tale: I had a big ugly white couch once. Matching love seat, too. Found it in the Houston classifieds. I thought it worked, price was right. New apartment needed furniture. Love was new, had to show her I could bring the domestic. She walked in to see it for the first time and the look on her face told me two things: uh, I dont think this is gonna work out, and you sir, are no Ralph Lauren. I had it professionally cleaned, but still, overall, while it looked nice enough, it was a big ol ugly white couch and matching love gone wrong seat.
