So weve all heard about Steven A. Smith getting suspended about the comments he made about domestic violence....my question is this....Should domestic violence really be a community issue? The reason why I ask this is because, women in the United States are no longer subjected to male dominance...so if this is the case could you say that a woman is willfully putting herself in the situation to be abused epecially if she didnt leave the first time she was hit? So with relationships of any kind being a voluntary situation, what can the community actually do when a woman is willfully opting to be in a domestic violence situation?
