So weve been told the services for Rochelle Walking Eagle will be on the Sicangu Nation, Rosebud SD tomorrow and Friday with funeral on Saturday. All her children are here with Mandy and I, we are working to get over there as quickly as we can. Yesterday was also the day 10 yr. old kids from our community busted all our windows out on our blazer that had got stuck in the mud on North Route so we basically have no ride that runs well enough for the trip. A 100 miles seems like a million my daughter said as RST is only an hour away. To our family in Rosebud, keep strong and well be together soon. We truly believe in let the spirits lead and know things will happen as they happen and as they should. We give encouragement to all families in loss today and especially want to remind the Oyate to hug your kids today and hug your moms.
