So weve been trying to break some rings for the library over the last few weeks and I thought that I would share my personal views. I first tried rings on my sturdy 6 month old with some assistance from Heike and Carol, he pretty much fell straight to sleep and I thought wonderful I have found the ideal for quick ups. However I now have a very sturdy 13 month old and I must admit that in my humble opinion (not agreed with by others Im sure) it is not entirely suitable for toddlers, especially those with some chunk behind them! I have tried different carries and all have resulted in the same decision; for me and my solid boy rings are not an immediate go to. I do however have a new squish and having not yet had him in a ring sling I thought the library sling was the perfect opportunity and..... Its love again! For squidgy squishes it is an ideal addition to any sling collection. As an extra observation I would also add that having tried different shoulder styles a padded shoulder doesnt suit me whatsoever and that a gathered or a pleated shoulder is much more comfortable for us. Now to dig out my rings again, after weve worked on the library one for a bit longer of course :-) (Please excuse the dodgy photos Im not great at this selfie malarkey lol)
