So, we’re on the cruise ship at sea having a great time when Diana discovers that the ship is offering complimentary dance classes to the passengers. They were teaching the waltz, the samba, the cha cha cha., etc., so at the spur of the moment she drags me to a cha cha cha class. I knew the professional dancers from the ship were there to instruct, but little did I know that they were also spying on us to select possible candidates to compete in a “Dancing with the Stars at Sea” competition. At the end of the class, one of the professionals, Jennifer, much to my surprise, asked if I would be her dance partner in the competition. After I regained consciousness (after all, I was the guy with whom none of the girls wanted to dance in high school :-) ), I said yes. We actually ended up winning the competition! That win qualified me to compete in the finals against the winners of the other 15 ships in the Holland America fleet, but only if my score is high enough. If it is, that means Diana and I will win a 7 day cruise to compete in the finals in December. Jennifer and I won with the routine in this video, which was actually one of the routines performed on the TV show “Dancing with the Stars”.
