So, what are my favourite film genres? Whats that? You didnt ask? Well...Im going to tell you anyways as, well...Im a narcissist. (raises glass) But Im certainly not alone, now am I? (looking at you selfie and baby (or pet) picture posters, meme sharers and Facebook Is My Diary folk) Film Noir ...produced during the 1940s and 1950s, best represented by the black-and-white B-movie, crime-melodramas and..well...watch the video (see link). Gothic Horror ...produced during the 1930s, best represented by the Carl Laemmle, Jr. produced Universal monster films presented by directors Tod Browning (Dracula, Freaks) and James Whale (Frankenstein, The Invisible Man), cinematographer/director Karl Freund (The Mummy, Mad Love), makeup artist Jack Pierce and actors Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff. Other notable films...
