So what do Christian owned schools achieve by shutting down for - TopicsExpress

So what do Christian owned schools achieve by shutting down for three days to mourn the Church bombing in Peshawar? How about this scenario: All Christian owned schools in Pakistan close down indefinitely. Karachi Grammar, Convent of Jesus & Mary, St. Patricks’, St. Pauls’, St. Joesph’s – All across Pakistan they close shop. Parents get all flustered. They protest, they make noise, they cry foul. The schools’ administrators asks them, “Why?” They say, “We fear our children’s education is suffering.” The administrators are not moved. More hue and cry follows. Again the parents are asked, “Why?” The parents reply, “We fear O & A level exams will get cancelled, our children will not get to college, not get jobs, and will let left behind in the game of life!” The administrators remain unmoved, schools remain closed. After six months of closure, the exasperated parents finally get the message and say, “We fear our children will grow up as barbarians, will be shunned from the world, Pakistan will get nuked and not one Muslim nation will mourn! We will not allow that. We will not allow churches, temples and mosques to be bombed in Pakistan. We will protect all Pakistanis to the last citizen!” Then these schools reopen. You see that scenario won’t happen. You know why? Because moderate Christians, Muslims, Hindus all choose to eat ‘indifference’ for breakfast, ‘appeasement’ for lunch and ‘cowardice’ for dinner. And you become what you eat. You become moderate.
