So, what do you think, folks? I really believe that the next generation wont only need to lament the end of the handwritten word, the way that most people of my age do today. Mark my words ..... within 80 years (maybe even half of that) written text as we know it will pretty much be gone, except in the hands of specially trained historians. People will still construct presentations, but they will be done on computers in video or audio mode. Books of the past will be presented on audio or recited by actors. The bard of the ancient times will return once again, in the form of super talented orators who will take the place of todays writers, and extra kudos will go to the person who is so talented that they can do it on the fly.
