So what is Bidah really? Part 1 Is Mawlid/Milaad really Bidah? Alot of People today use the word Bidah but they dont even no the meaning of it. They present a Hadees which totaly means something else but they fit it onto the Sunni Muslims saysing “Bidah” the Hadees which they quote is: Hazrat Aisha rta narrates the Beloved salalaho alehi wa Ahlehi wasalam said:“He who innovates something in this matter of ours that is not of it will have it rejected 1) Sahi Bukhari, Kitab ul ilm, Volume 2, Page 959 Hadees 2550 2) Sahi Muslim, Kitab ul ilm, Volume 3, Page 1343 Hadees 1718 3) Sunan Abi Dawood, Volume 4 Page 200 Hadees 4606 4) Imam Abu Yahla, Al Musnad, Volume 8 Page 70 Hadees 4594 5) Imam Ahmad, Al Musnad, Volume 6 Page 270 Hadees 26372 6) Sahi ibn Hibaan, Volume 1, Page 207 Hadees 26 7) Imam Bayhaqi, Al Itiqaad Page 229 8) Imam Mizzhi, Tehzeeb ul Kamaal, Volume 18 Page 456 The Wahabis state this Hadees is about “every” new thing/innovation in Islam. The truth you will see for yourself in this hadees where it says “Laisa alehi Amroona” which means “SOMETHING NEW or A NEW THING/INNOVATION” which is not backed by the Quran and Hadees. The Muhadiseens have narrtaed the Hadees and the Shahireen (commentators) have explained the Hadees below. “This Hadees is referring to bad Bidah s which were created in Deen such as Khwarij Fitna, Muselma Khazaab, The rejection of Zakaat” 1) Imam Munzhri, Targeeb ul Tarheeb, Volume 1 Page 44 Hadees 77 2) Imam Ibn Rajab Hambli, Jamia al Uloom ul Hakim, Volume 1 Page 65 3) Qadhi Shaukani, Neel ul Awthaar, Volume 2 Page 69 4) Imam Tabri, Tareekh Ummul Malook, Volume 2 Page 254 Their are many types of Bidah i am going to discuss a few here from Hadees and Muhadiseen. People dont even know what bidah or what type of Bidah they associate the Milaad into!!! below are few types of Bidah Bidat e Dhalalah (Evil) : All bad innovations such as Khwarij, Muselma Kazhaab Bidat e Saiyha has 2 catogries: Bidat e Makhrama and Bidat e Makrooh Bidat e Makroohia (Disliked): When one leaves the sunnah such as Sunnat e Muqadah or just giving 1 Talaq to wife and leaving her hanging all life as she awaits for 2 more talaqs to be given to be free but husband goes and re-marries etc decorating Ayats of the Quran Bidat e Mukharama (Prohibited) : Haram acts which cant be followed; for xample following the acts of those who are astray {such as the Jabriyyah and Marjiyyah etc} Bidat e Hassanah has 2 catogries: Bidat e Wajiba and Bidat e Mustahabah Bidat e Wajibah (Obligatory) “Acts which it is wajib to follow for example learning the rules of arabic grammer in order to understand quran correctly” Bidat e Mustahabah: “Acts which if followed lead to reward but if ignored then there is no punishment or accountability; for example building Old people homes, building islamic schools etc.” So not every Bidah is bad, some bidah are where work was done for the best of the people, Rasoolallah salalaho alehi wa Ahlehi wasalam said: “Who ever does something and the people think good of it then that is good in the eyes of Allah” Imam Bazhaar, Al Musnad, Volume 5, Page 213 Hadees 1816 Imam Teyalshi, Al Musnad, Volume 1, Page 33 Hadees 246 Imam Tibrani, Maujam ul Kabir, Volume 9, Page 112 Hadees 8583 Imam Bayhaqi, Al Itiqaad, Volume 1 Page 322 Sag e Aal e Rassol Muhammad Luqman al Qadri
