So...what was I doing the next day to celebrate my Ironman Arizona experience. Dumpster diving with dozens of other people for the $120 brand new shoes in my special needs bag that got thrown away because I didnt make the noon pickup cutoff time. On the plus side, I had LOADS of company. And no, they were not given to a charity, I know this, because I found other peoples brand news shoes, just not mine. I also found pictures of family members, running belts, fancy sun glasses, and a host of other things. But not my shoes.... Just saying, getting up by noon the day after an IRONMAN is probably not super likely happen for most people. So disappointing. KJ Granville Minton, last night you bet me $100 that I was going to do another Ironman event...the odds of me winning that bet just got much better. Tempe Community Council, perhaps you can work with IRONMAN Arizona to have volunteers pick through the bags and give the shoes to people in need. Sole Sports Running Zone, Im going to assume you dont have an Ironman threw away my shoes so Ill give you another pair for free policy? ;)
