So what will wake a sleeping mom break her into a dead run while trying to get from one side of the house to the other screaming get me the glucagon NOW????? Low BG.........that was the logical guess. You and I both had the same thought. Oh no....dead battery on the CGM receiver! First it beeped telling me she was at 50 so we gave her orange juice. I settle back down ponder the fact that I probably need to get her some sort of protein to go with that. I nod back off and then lots of screeching and beeping. The receiver had dropped below 50 and was reading ??? That is all it said....just ??? I am here to tell you that old fat women can RUN even while asleep!!!!! I was running and yelling medical instruction as I went. Get the glucagon, find her kit, get a finger prick we have to confirm her number..... Grace sits up like ....what in the doodles is wrong with you people? Ella had even bolted up out of bed after me and the hubby nearly broke our necks getting to Grace fully expecting to have a long dreaded medical crisis on our hands. Nope machine died...not Grace Paul!!!!! In other news.....off to the coldest JDRF walk in our diabetes history. On 4 hours of sleep.....whoot whooot!!!
