So, when I first started out as a local scene supporter, it started out micro-local, it started out with Tony Lucas, and Used, and stretched to a band called Ochlocracy, and then a band called Lost Conscience all these bands came from kids right around the Bath Brunswick and Topsham area over the past few days since the passing of Doug Abbott, Im remembering just how smart that kid was to hold shows at a KofC hall in Bath, behind an Amatoes. His shows were always full of kids in the parking lot smoking their smokes, and waiting for the grill to get fired up so they could get some food, before they would all head into see bands like, A Wanted Awakening, Kesera, Hollow Image, Sawtopsy, Absence of the Sun, and many more. The Bath Metal Scene always felt to me like even though it was rocking in the city where ships are built I was in Tampa Bay Florida, back in the day when thrash was heavy and gaining a foothold. It is an underground music scene within the Maine Music Scene. This scene is dealing with such a great loss.
