So when I get my Socom Gear DD M4 ill be painting it and weathering it. So top receiver will be base coated with different shades of tan and some white, then wiped of with spirts. So some of it will stay in the gaps and edges while the rest if the gun will stay the same black. For the bottom receiver and stock setup i will paint it dark tan and then overlay it with a mesh netting (diamond type) and then spray it over with a lighter tan or cyote brown. Some wiping will be done on the egdes of the gun. The buffer tube willjust be sprayed the light tan and will be dabed with spirts while the stock will be adjusted back and forth till the buffer tube has a smearing or a weathered look on it from the original colour. Okay so why am i posting this? Well for one i am a bit skeptical on going through with this and also i want other peoples opinions and maybe even pictures or videos of your guys camos or weathering jobs.
