So, when a scientist believe in god, therefore god is real. Sounds absurd, right? But most theists seem to think its an effective argument. Again, heres a good example, courtesy of Mr. Bobit Santillan. Lord Kelvin, a very famous British scientist, described in his writings when he made the statement, “If you study science deep enough and long enough it will force you to believe in God.” So, what makes this a good argument against atheism? It only proves that William Thomson (AKA Lord Kelvin) believes in god. So does, Sir Isaac Newton, right? Newton was even a practitioner of alchemy, but that doesnt make alchemy true, does it? Same with Lord Kelvin. As a Christian he may try reconciling science with his faith, but that doesnt mean he is correct - My gulay, he even thought that free oxygen can only come from plants (through photosynthesis) which is quite erroneous. Lord Kelvin is just a man in his times. Thats the limit of the human mind. For gulays sake, he lives in the late 19th century. Also, when it comes to science, it is the fact are important - not the scientist.
