So when it comes to giving to charity, less priveldge, widows or to the poor all they say is 'bring those old items you dont use again or those clothes, shoes and things you dont use or need' and after giving such items you are happy you have contributed to people and except God to give you a full measure of an item you no longer use or need? Haba, what if in the same manner God gives you those blessings He no longer uses to bless people with or maybe you dont need any longer? Remember David said he will not give God an offering that wont cost him anything, 1 Chron 21:24. Also dont forget that he who gives to the poor lends to God Proverbs 19:17. Now check those things you give to the poor, are the costing you anything? Those things you are lending to God by giving to the poor is it worth a repayment or a reward from God? My friends, lets make a wise decision today, what is the use of giving someone something you have rejected and cant wear any longer ( not disputing the fact that some are still much in good shape)? What if God is to repay you in the same coin as your giving or in the same way as the things you give out to charity, will you like it and accept the blessings with your whole heart? Well, this is something to ponder about before giving out. God bless us all.
