So whenever my new books come out, I make speaking deals that I dont ever otherwise offer. For instance, my US flat fee speaking rate for the MINIMUM kind of engagement (get in, speak, get out), is $15,000 USD, and its more overseas. But because I want more people to have access to my nifty new book, I make nutty deals like: buy 300 books and Ill speak for just air and hotel. (Thats $6K which is a whole $9000 less than my going rate.) However, if youre worried about getting STUCK with tons of books, someone smarter than me said, You should offer a 150 books level, so you know, Ill do that for 150 books plus $3K (still 6K but you dont get stuck with books).
