So where to begin? Deja vu perhaps? Its very difficult to go - TopicsExpress

So where to begin? Deja vu perhaps? Its very difficult to go through an emergency medical situation twice. Today, I experienced the same one for the 2nd time....in a span of 15 minutes my tongue and face ballooned to double and triple their size respectively. Scary? Yep. I had another severe allergic reaction. However, this time, I got a concrete answer. Todays modern medicine is amazing stuff, however, it can also include a lot of major side affects. Case and point is Losortan...my ace inhibitor I take for my blood pressure. One of the side effects of the medicine is Angioedema...in English, thats a sudden puffiness or swelling of number of places on the body. That was what happened to me in July and now today. I would like to thank a number of people that were there for me today. I cant go any further without thanking Jesus Christ, my healer who is there with me always. I was getting my kids ready for school at their mothers place...and Stephanie Demko quickly called 911...thank you! Bill Dilley and Sherry McMillen, and the Kane EMTs that rode with us in the ambulance. Dr. Brian McIntosh, the staff of the ER at Kane Community Hospital, one Ms. Brittany Dunn who was my nurse in ICU today and the rest of the nurses here. You people rock! As I type this, my face and tongue are normal size again. Im watching Happy Gilmore on the tube and drinking an ice cold Diet Pepsi. Ive has a number of people text and call. I cannot tell you how good that makes me feel. Im hoping to get out of here tomorrow! Much love, Yall...
