So, while Im waiting at the gate for my daughter to be released from school yesterday, the father of one of her school friends comments favorably on my choice of Joy Division t-shirt and how its been so long since he saw one. We start talking and it turns out he used to be in a band, and learned bass from the guy in Janes Addiction. He said the guy was a huge Joy Division fan. You can hear it in the music too, those tribal bass lines. Pretty cool.
