So, who can honestly say that at the point of take off they breathe out, drop their shoulders & allow forward with their hand!? Or is it more like the other scenario of a huge gulp of air (held until face changes colour), followed by shoulders taking over the area where your neck used to be & a positive death grip on your horses teeth (usually described as maintaining the contact)?! Breathing is SO important - learn how you can use it to relieve tension, diffuse situations, enhance rhythm, & improve your overall position.
