So why would Zero and the EPA roll out new CO2 regs (30% reduction by 2030) that are guaranteed to destroy the coal industry and drive electricity costs through the roof? (50% of US electricity is from coal). The answer is actually quite simple. Zero and his Far Left minions want more and more people dependent on government. How will that happen you say? Because the people at the low end of socio-economic scale will be the most effected, the 50% of the population that doesnt pay income taxes by the way, and receives subsidies in the form of food stamps, Obama phones and the like. Bottom line, they would then have to choose between bad and horrible alternatives, such as freezing in the dark because they cant pay the electric bill. The government isnt going to let that happen so theyll provide vouchers for the portion of the population that doesnt pay taxes. And wheres the money going to come from to pay for the vouchers? Higher taxes on the 50% of the population that does pay income taxes, thats where. So you see, new EPA regs has nothing to do with saving the planet (so-called Global Warming or now Climate Change is a naturally occurring phenomena thats been around many millions of years), but has everything to do with creating a greater dependency on government while at the same using the tax code to redistribute wealth. Period, end of story.
