So with the release of Resident Evil HD remaster I couldnt help but think about an offical remake and release of Resident Evil 2 which has been demanded for in quite some years now. Not only that but since then over youtube you will see various fan remake projects of Resident Evil 2 and as I was watching one of these projects(posted below)I had thought to myself: Its not perfect but yet its still an impressive remake even for a fan project. Then it dawned on me that because there is so much demand for a remake or Resident Evil 2 and that there is various fan remake projects of Resident Evil 2 it may actually be quite difficult for Capcom to give us a proper remake of this game and be satisfying because watching these fan projects, though not perfect, they do satisfy quite a bit of our curiosity ahead of time what the game would look and be like remade and I think because of that that poses some difficulty to Capcom if they are aware of it. I really dont think they could make much big buck of a of a remake of Resident Evil 2 of they only intend to give a visual update w/just a few additional rooms and features here and there due soley because of the many fan projects feeding our curiosity of that game being remade. I think it would be a good idea for Capcom not expand upon it. Not just with a few new rooms here and there and gameplay mechanics but I really think expand upon the games exploration. Or to put it more simply bring in many new areas, hell even a whole new building or two to explore and solve puzzles in that has not been seen at all yet in Resident Evil 2. I think they really would need to bring some new environments, puzzles, bosses, etc to really spice up a remake of Resident Evil 2. I know its asking allot in a sense but after seeing this mass of RE2 remake projects I think Capcom really needs to bring in much more new stuff to a remake of RE2 to make it very satisfying and put it at the top more than before. These fan projects are cool, I like think its cool to see what a remake of RE2 could be like but at the same time I believe it makes an offical remake from Capcom a bit damaging. They cant just make a remake of Re2 with a few minor additional features. Lets here your opinion people.
