So yeah, we have Zack Snyder directing Justice League for 2017, - TopicsExpress

So yeah, we have Zack Snyder directing Justice League for 2017, but question is, HOW DO YOU MAKE A GOOD JUSTICE LEAGUE MOVIE? Well, Ill give you a few pointers. How bought taking inspiration from that other superhero team movie? You know? The smash hit from Joss Whedon? Best known as The Avengers? Heres the thing, Warner Bros. is going to quickly tire of the Avengers comparisons, but lets face it, it worked. It really worked. The eventual producers and filmmakers would do wise to buy a copy of the Marvel Studio film and study it like Peyton Manning dissects game footage. Cmon, dont be proud, Its why were all even talking about this today. Its there. It works. Learn from it. (Plus so you know, Im more Marvel than DC, DC needs improvement in there films) How bout John Stewarts Green Lantern? I mean Warner Bros. tried. They had a cool concept and some pretty special effects, but clearly, Ryan Reynolds’ Hal Jordan Green Lantern movie didn’t work - and it’s okay. They can let it go, they can move beyond it… especially since you have several other options to fill that role in your new movie universe. But lets use a different lantern. John Stewart. Fan-favourite and formidably known in the Justice League: The Animated Series. And thanks to years of that, he’s the Green Lantern to a bunch of kids who now happen to be in that glorious 18-35 year-old range you’d so very much like to capture. Plus study the DC Animated approach. I mean, a bunch of pretty darn good Justice League adaptations have already been produced in the last few years, including a handful of animated films and of course the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited animated TV series. So make an approach like that! (Marvel has the Phase 1, 2 and 3 movie system which was also successful and continues to be.) Also, start this movie with a team already in place and already working together as a well-oiled machine. We dont need a backstory, or an origin. These are the worlds greatest superheroes, so let them act that way. The first scene of the film should be the assemble heroes taking down a mid-level villain with ease, and ramp up the threat from there. Plus itll make it different from Marvel and help the audience not experience a deja-vu factor. And finally, just film Grant Morrisons version of the JLA. With all due respect to Geoff Johns current run and other great writers of the past, Grant Morrisons JLA was the coolest Justice League run, well, ever. His story lines and threats were of a proper cinematic scale (and the White Martians wouldnt be the worst big screen threat to build a movie around) and Morrisons plotting was only eclipsed in execution by his characterization and take on the team dynamics, highlighted by perhaps the coolest and most badass Batman in that characters history and his badassedness was only enhanced by the brighter, shinier superheroes around him. Now if DC follows these simple guidelines… they can have a successful Justice League movie and not have to go through a 600th reboot like some of their movies. (And once again, Im all for Marvel rather than DC, DC needs improvement in the films)
