So yesterday, I had lots of meetings to go to. I am very good - TopicsExpress

So yesterday, I had lots of meetings to go to. I am very good about turning my ringer off, but terrible at remembering to turn it on, when the meeting is over. My fix? Turn the phone off, and set the phone on the table. When I got home, a bit late (or early, depending), I was kind of surprised that a couple of people did not call. They did. I forgot to turn the phone back on. Old age I guess. But then, I read an article. It seems that data collected in a recent survey, demonstrated the following. When a younger person misplaced their car keys, they blamed others (Who stole my keys!). When an older person misplaced their keys, a search ensued, along with mutterings of, I must be getting old. The article said that this attitude reenforced the feeling of age and deteriorating abilities. In short, blaming others can reduce stress and help you live longer. When I grew up, accusing others of theft was a good way to increase stress and sometimes, get your life shortened. Abruptly. Funny how things change.
