So, yesterday, I went to pick up the keys to my new apartment. I was supposed to be moving in this weekend. I even hired movers. When I got to the office of the complex, the lady there had no idea that someone was moving in this weekend. After a quick call to her manager, we were told that the unit was ready. That was far from the truth. The floors were half finished as were the cabinets. And there was some nasty mystery substance in the kitchen sink. The paint job was half assed and the carpet that I was told would be new was kinda icky. Now I must wait until Monday to see if the unit will be ready. Needless to say, I will not be holding my breath on this one.
