So, yesterday (Tuesday) Maggie spent the day in Venice, Italy. So - TopicsExpress

So, yesterday (Tuesday) Maggie spent the day in Venice, Italy. So she could go into St. Marks Cathedral, she pretended to be with the choir and stood in the back of the choir and mouthed the words! She did this and skipped a gondola ride. She said Venice was amazing. Today, Wednesday, they left Austria and headed to Germany. Their first stop was at the historic concentration camp of Dachau. Her exact words about this was horrifying. I can only imagine The then traveled the rest of the way to Rothenburg which used to be a walled city. The older part still is walled and her motel is supposed to be near that wall. Her evening was spent exploring the village. Tomorrow is her last day in Europe. I know she will be happy to be home, but sad for her amazing experience to end. They will spend the morning exploring Rothenburg and seeing the sights - many fountains, man-sized wooden nutcrackers, a clock tower that puts on a show every hour on the hour. They will also performa their final concert in the historic Rothenburg Market Square. They end the day with a goodbye to Europe party put on by local people from the village. Friday morning VERY early they leave Rothenburg and head to Frankfurt International Airport where they have to be through security before 6am I believe. Her flight leaves Frankfurt at 9:40am (which is 2:40 am our time) and arrives in Detroit at lunch time. (her body will think its supper time) They have a 2 hour lay over and then a short flight to Chicago where they will load a bus head for Iowa. If all is on schedule we should be seeing her get off the bus around 10:30 or 11:00pm Friday night. We are all anxious to see Maggie Peterson and have her home with us again and to hear all about her fabulous adventure!
