So yesterday afternoon I finished earlier than expected as I was delayed in court (representing the company I hasten to add!) and ended up missing my team Christmas dinner. I was upset, its been a tough few months with a lot of pressure and separation from what little Ive been attached to lately so it was a bit of a blow for me but perspective was soon restored. The radio was full of The great getaway, yesterday being the day of madness where people were heading off to family for Christmas, or just getting home on their last working day by car, plane and train. I was in the car and on the way home I passed through the scenes of two nasty accidents with road closures, incident units, helicopters, the works. At least one of these was already being reported as fatalities, Im not sure about the other but it was certainly a life changing event for those involved. So heres todays package, to wish everyone that will be travelling over this period, or working as an enabler for those who will be in whatever capacity - including emergency services - a safe journey. Please take care. Its far better to arrive late and safe than risk someone not making it home to the arms of those who love you. My heart goes out to anyone affected in those accidents, I made it home and ordered takeaway. So Im sending peace and love to the families whose loved ones didnt and hope you all get home safely wherever home may be. xxx
