So ... yesterday evening my idiot neighbor is out watering his flowers, sees me and says: Good thing for that guy he didnt come here, this is a house of gun owners. Me: Um, this is a house of a gun owner. It was 3 in the afternoon, a teenaged girl at my deck door asking for help. Idiot Neighbor: I would have had my gun ready. Me: Really? Do you have your gun on you now? Idiot Neighbor: Uh ... well ... no. Me: Bang. Youre dead. And I rest my case. Yes, I wasnt as setup as I should have been (and am), but when the guy with the AR-15 is racing up the steps with the rifle pointed at your head, and you slam the door to buy time, and hes breaking the window for access within seconds, glad all the Rambos out there whove never faced anything worse than a paper target and beers cans set up on a log KNOW what they would have done. At least I know who not to ask for help in a bad situation because theyd make the wrong decision.
