So yesterday was crazy. Started out with a fever, gave Tylenol. Everything going good. Then Johns Broviac came out. Lifting him up from the floor to change a diaper the long IV tube was caught underfoot or on something and out came about a foot of tubing from inside Johns chest. Very scary. Luckily we were already in the hospital. So they had john fast all day so he could have a new one put in at 4:30pm. But he had been fighting off some infection or virus and luckily the Surgeon said no. We would be better off putting in a picc line instead. A picc line is one in his arm. Less chance of complications with infection. So at about 9pm last night they finally brought him up from surgery. The picc was in place but he didnt wake up. Poor baby was so tired. Scary for mom and dad again that he wasnt wide awake after surgery. So nice to see his smiling face this morning. No fever and ANC climbing back up to 330. Hopefully everything keeps getting better. Its so hard on big sister too. Seeing Kevin and I go through this and going through it herself. We are going to try to get away for a bit today with her. Let her know she is every bit as important to us a John is.
