So yesterday was easily, and hands down, one of the best days of my life! Instead of touring Munich we hopped on a train to the Fussen. This is the small Alpine town from which one accesses Nueschwanstein Castle, also called Konegschloss. On the way we saw a number of hot air balloons! In Fussen we took pictures of Ludwig the IIs fathers yellow castle waited 1.5 hrs in line to take a horse drawn buggy to up the mountain to the base of the castle. The buggy was charming and the buggy driver was full of personality, even taking a selfie with Ciara!! The wait was very long in 1* C, but it beat the 40 minute hike up steep and winding ice covered roads!!
