So yesterday we drove and drove and at one point I said to Erick...."I feel like we are going in the opposite direction of fun". Where we ended up was so packed with tourists it was hard to even walk so today we decided to go North....we passed a few villages that are popular....and I said....lets try something where there are only a few people. We ended up in Riva del Garda....what a wonderful place! spent hours there just walking the almost empty streets, had an amazing fish meal right out of the lake on a shady breezy street and 2 glasses of local Pino Grigio and then we all laid down in the shade of some palms in a park overlooking the whole length of lake....and watched as an army of while sailed sail boats glided by.....on our way home we both said what a wonderful day it was...BUT lets stop in the next off beat village and hop in the lake clothes and all. We did just that in a strange village that seemed to be almost a ghost town. Very cool. Got back here TURN ON OUR FAN....Ah....and I made fresh tortalini from the market, local pesto and a salad Caprese while the cicadas sang. It was at that moment we realized it was actually Tuesday and NOT Wednesday giving us and extra day here....IT TRULY WAS THE BEST DAY EVER :)
