So yet Another set back in my recovery journey. Yesterday I was at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune for a same day procedure to have my Green Field Filter removed from my abdomen. The Dr. Figured I was out of the woods for a blood clot. So they go in through my carotid artery in my neck to retrieve it. When I woke up on recovery I was told WE COULDNT REMOVE IT BECAUSE THERE IS A BIG CLOT CAUGHT IN THE FILTER. I later found out from my hemotologist that is was headed straight for my lungs and heart AGAIN. Thank god we put this filter in. It did its job and saved my life. Starting the Coumadin again to break down the clot and the green field filter will remain in place for now.
