So you are a race fan in the stands during an ICAR Broaster Chicken Top Speed Modified Tour race and the caution comes out. You see a guy run out to the center of the track with a very tall orange cone and you think to yourself what in the heck is going on here? Well race fans like double file restarts but this one has a flare for the racers, and its called the Madhouse Restart, and this is how it works for the racers. They come around the track in single file and when they get to the cone they decide if they want to go high or low to restart the race. So for an example the first three cars go low and the fourth car goes high. The Leader has to decide first if hes going high or low and then the other racers decide. Well this could be a good thing for the fourth car because hell be able to restart the race on the outside of the front row. And thats just one example of how it works because theres all different ways this could work because maybe the first nine cars go to the inside and the 10th car stays high and ends up on the outside of the front row. This restart lineup could be a plus for some racers or not. But its up to the racers to decide where they want to restart the race. Its an exciting flare for both race fans and the racers.
