So...you are thinking of becoming a Realtor? Well I hope you also have many talents....such as marriage counselor, psychologist, stager, home interior designer, financial advisor, painter, cleaner, good personality, nice....and a new one to add to the list, bee tamer! Yesterday I had to meet a contractor at a house. We go in with no issues. Turn around and leave, he steps off the steps and I shut the door and jiggle the handle to make sure it is closed....as I am doing this, Mr. Contractor starts screaming. I whip my head around and ask him if he is OK and just about then I was attacked by balled faced hornets with white butts...of course I join in with screaming which made the bees even more mad and run away from the house.... My beautiful young assistant (daughter who I drag around with me unwillingly) was in my car, it was running and windows were up thank god(ac was on)!!! She hears me scream and looks up. I told her to drive the car toward me. I hop in the car and she asks what is wrong. I said we were attacked by bees, you didnt hear us screaming? She says, no I was reading my nook oh way to be observant Jordyn!! After each of us returned to our cars we decided to just talk to each other on our cell phones. He finished his job and left. I now am POd that I got stung! My lovely assistant and I head to Walgreens and grab a can of Raid spray and head back to the scene. We drive up under the bees nest as close as possible, I crack my window about 1 inch and unload the can of Raid on the bees nest of course this only soaked the outer layer of the bees nest and didnt do much good. So we take our first trip around the circular driveway and noticed that there was a rake laying up against the house so I drove as close as I could to the bush where the rake was laying, rolled down my window and looked around to see any evidence of Bees stalking me. I quickly grabbed it through my window and we took our 2nd trip around the circular driveway to observe our attack. As I approach the bees nest on my 3rd turn I wait and watch carefully rolled down my window about 2 inches shove the rake out the window and only knocks the bottom part of the bees nest off. The moment I knocked the bottom part off the bees nest we quickly take our 4th trip around the circular driveway. At this point my lovely assistant and I realize that now would be a good time to spray the nest with RAID however we emptied the first can so we leave the scene of the crime to go to Riteaid which I would like to say was a dollar 25 less than Walgreens and headed back to the battle zone. As I pull up as close as I can to the nest I can see billions of eggs and I know that is my target. so I roll my window down 2 inches and start spraying the entire can of Raid. At this point these little insects of Satan are now very upset and looking 4 the murderers of their eggs so we take our 5th trip around the circular driveway. The rake that I originally used was in the bush below the bees nest so our trip through I grabbed the rake and made our 6th trip around the circular driveway. My last attempt to knock it down through my window....success!!! and then we drove round the driveway for the 7th time, one last time for our victory pictures !!! I won!!! Thats right...Jennifer M.
