So you guys know I get emotional sometimes. But I have to express myself. I cannot believe the amount of support I have recieved over the past few days. Ive made new friends. Fello writers, poets, and lovers of words have reached out to me. So many of you shared the newspaper article. At first I thanks each of you when I got the inital alert. But then I realized that people were copy/paste the link from other people- so I no way of knowing. It saddens me that I cannot thanked you all individually. That is why Im posting this. If you read the article, then you already know- I grew up lower class, a middle child, quite the oddball. I had a handfull of school friends, but I was never invited to the birthday parties or other social events. Ive never been to a sleepover. I was a late bloomer. And some days I still feel like that teenager who didnt fit in. Forever the misfit. Poetry was my only comfort. My security blanket. For years I wrote the words I was afraid to speak- until I finally gathered the courage to share my art. It took some time but I found the strength to embrace my voice. And you all have been there to support me every step of the way. I love you for that. You give me strength to share my secrets and display my demons.And I am still growing, still working, still writing. For we are not done yet. I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep #RobertFrost
