So, you want more concerts... What an amazing evening with Sarah McLachlan at the civic centre tonight. The music, stage, sound and lighting were all remarkable and transformed a hockey rink into a warm, intimate gathering of fans and music lovers. Sarah was amazing, warm, funny and such a tremendous performer. Her show has been sold out all over the country and although we did not sell out, we had a great turn out. This was a first try for council since we took over the centre in September, but people have been asking for concerts so we decided to try and see what the response would be. Selecting an artist that suits everyones taste is always a challenge, but no matter your preference, we need people to get out early and buy tickets to shows so that producers will take a chance on us and just maybe we will attract the artists that you want to hear. Theres something about a live music performance that cannot be beat, and when you have talented, professional musicians of this calibre, you are guaranteed to be entertained, no matter the music genre. So thanks so much to everyone who came to see tonights show, maybe, just maybe, we have started something new.
