So your child wants to do sports? Why not sign them up with the Dexter Rec Dept or your local rec, call them and see what they have to offer instead of using the schools. There are many creative ways to do things without utilizing the government school system. Organize activities your self, ask around your communities, I bet there people around with talents you did not know about. Someone that may be willing to teach an art class for 6 weeks for a small fee or teach Spanish for a small fee. Does it take some work on your part? You bet, but our job is to teach our children and this is all part of it. No one said it would be easy. :) Here is some information on what the Dexter Rec is offering right now: FLAG FOOTBALL Wednesday, September 3rd grades K-2 from 5-6 pm $15. FIELD HOCKEY Thursday, September 4th grades k-6 from 5-6:30 pm $15. Sign ups held at the Dexter Town Hall.
