Soap box rant! if you dont want to read stop now. So I went for a massage today, my go to ladies are tied up and unavailable. I was able to book in at a chiro clinic. Firstly I fill out the extensive questionnaire, which included a diagram to indicate where i hurt and type of pain. Being a massage therapist myself I filled it out proper. I go in the room, she is looking at my chart and says, so what brings you in today??? are you kidding me ?? it is not only written down for you under reason for todays treatment, it is indicated on the drawing...so I told her, I have a laterally rotated fibula and low back pain in the left lumbar region, i even lifted my pant legs to show her. She looks at me and says so an all over body massage and if we have time some neck work Are you kidding me??? I should have walked out there. However I stayed, told her again I need leg and low back work. She left i got on the table. She spent 20 minutes working on my upper back!!! Again, are you kidding me, in grade three we learned that the back bone was not connected to the lower leg bone. Then she spent a large number of minutes on my glutes, barely touched my hammies or calves which i told her needed work....because she didnt get it during the interview. She flipped me over and spent about 3 minutes per shin, which the right one needed more work. Needless to say, I left unchanged and actually had to pay $73.00 for the treatment. Travis Brunner i understand why you get frustrated when I am not available to work on you...... needless to say I am not impressed. She actually told me she like doing 2 hour massages, who the hell can massage for two hours straight....I am guessing you are not doing something correct...... can you say over treat????? Whatever floats your boat I guess........ Rant done!
