Soapbox Time: I, nor my parents, grandparents, - TopicsExpress

Soapbox Time: I, nor my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, have never owned slaves. Why are Southerners always getting slavery thrown in their faces yet today? I do not condone slavery of any kind and would never do so. People that know me know that I respect everyone and do not base my respect on color but on character. I am a Southerner, a Texan, and I am proud of it. Personally, I would love to see the slavery issue dead and buried. We cannot go back in time and change what happened. I, for one, prefer to look to the future.
