Soccer during a holiday trip: We have just returned from a memorable trip round Zim. Crineas was an excellent driver, courteous, friendly and totally unruffled at having to drive 7 women ( & later 1 guy ) round Zim. The first bus had difficulty getting up the escarpment from Kariba ( the 7 women and their luggage ?!) but it was quickly replaced by a brand new bus and we continued on our trip through several Police Road blocks, which didnt faze Crineas at all, even when at one they asked if he could drive ! When we expressed our astonishment at the huge Avocados, he stopped off at a market and bought us 8 of them ! Even on the long journeys, he managed to find us somewhere to eat. At one stop we were entertained by Granny with song and dance while the rest of the family dashed into the bush to to find provisions from their neighbors for the unexpected guests. We will be eternally grateful to him too for finding a TV so that the Orange fans could watch their team play football and didnt blink an eye at the strange gear they insisted on wearing to cheer them on. At no time did we ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable. My sister and I had a dream to show our children our Africa and our dream came true ! I was in love with Rhodesia and I have fallen in love with Zimbabwe ! Well be back ! Thank you Nyati for sending Crineas to look after us !
