The volunteer is responsible for assisting in overseeing social media activities such as creating content, managing an editorial calendar and responding to posts. They are also responsible for researching, implementing activities, and other duties as directed by the Communications Manager. This is an unpaid position; however, student may receive credit for this position. Duties: Manage and coordinate social media activity for United Way in Waukesha County: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube. Research and implement potential trivia or other social media contests. Live update social media sites at event opportunities for United Way. Generate creative content to reach more users and create more activity. Implement editorial calendar of content that is informative, creative and engaging. Collect data and statistics on social media sites and report to Communications Manager. Participate in meetings regularly and contribute. Assist with special projects within the Investor Relations department such as the Appreciation Breakfast and the Campaign Kickoff Event. Perform other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications: Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related major preferred. Social Media experience and knowledge expected. Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary. Must have the ability to take direction from others and work well in a team setting. Additional Information: Benefits to Extern.
