Social Outing at GSS Abagana. Those who invest in humanity must always stir excitement wherever they transit. Such is the scenario when our indefatigable representative, Hon. Dr. Valentine Ayika, chaired the occasion of 2014 Speech/Prize Giving Day and launching of Paragon Magazine, hosted by the authorities of Girls Sec. Sch. Abagana on Thursday July 10th 2014. The event was spiced up with the arrival of our liberal Legislator who awarded scholarship to scores of academically outstanding students of the school. Considerable amount was also expended in support of the school magazine project which was unveiled at the occasion. Hon. Ayika used the privilege afforded by the grand occasion to exhort the outgoing SS3 students of the school to apply moderation in all they do and never to lose sight of their academic focus. He promised to help them secure university admission if they excel in their JAMB and post UTME exams; a promise which attracted thunderous round of applause from the crowded audience. Dignitaries who graced the occasion includes Lady Joy Ulasi (Chairman, PPSC, Awka), Lady Nonye Udegbunam (PPSC, Awka zone), Lady Carol Ikeabba (Member, PPSC Awka zone), Pst. Louis Nweke (A.g zde, ASUBEB, Awka zone), Representatives of Rt. Rev. Alex Ibezim (Bishop of Anglican Communion, Awka Diocese), Prof. Kate Omenugha (Commissioner of Education), the host principal, Lady Rose Osakwe, and scores of other dignitaries.
