Social Security is NOT welfare. It is NOT some type of voluntary Federal pork barrel spending program. It is more than a politicians verbal promise. We paid into the Social Security trust fund during all our working years. Those were painful deductions from our paychecks. We are entitled to get that money back at retirement or at least part of it. That is an “Entitlement”. The funds were stolen and worthless IOUs put in their place. The Federal Government cannot keep their promises. At this point in time, the whole thing looks like a giant Ponzi scheme gone bad. Who unlocked my personal Social Security trust fund “PIGGYBANK” and stole my promised funds? Congress raided the Social Security Fund in 2013 of about Forty Billion Dollars. The Trust Fund is owed over $3.87 Trillion and the Feds are robbing it more every year. The Supreme Court has ruled that Social Security benefits are NOT a guaranteed pledge and that Congress has the power to stop the benefit payments at any time! What? Would I feel better if I got a bona fide legally binding statement on paper “Social Security Guarantee Certificate”? Huh? We need to support the Social Security Guarantee Act (HR 1275).
