Social activist Trivandrum Salman was arrested by police on the 21st August after a complaint, allegedly disregarding all legal norms and guidelines to be followed while undertaking an arrest. The complaint against Salman is given by a group of people who are believed to have links with rightwing RSS. It is also alleged that some vigilante right-wing Hindutva groups are indulged in abusive hate campaign against Salman on Facebook and elsewhere.
